I am a passionate learner, and educator and I hope to inspire and enthuse you in your language learning too. I am from Kiev in the Ukraine, moved to USA about twenty years ago, have travelled around the world, and in the past seven years have lived and worked in Dubai (UAE), teaching English as Additional Language for primary age students and adults. I earned my degree in Teaching (specializing in ESOL) at the University of Cambridge and also obtained a dual business degree qualification from the University of International Relation in Ukraine and Israel where I studied economic sciences and business management. Last eight years of my life has been geared toward career I absolutely love and being recognized to have high expectations of progress and attainment for each student, combining this with personalized learning goals and rigorous assessment, means that every student will be resilient, reflective and confident language learner. As a freelance tutor , I have proven record of success instructing individual, primary, high school students and adults in English and Russian languages; teaching private EAL lessons to adults as well as tutoring Russian speaking children in school admission. After gaining my CELTA at the University of Cambridge, I spent three happy years as an EAL teacher for primary private school, before taking on the privileged role as EAL Learning and Teaching Instructor for GEMS education. By using multiple strategies I ensure that every student develops as life-long learner, both academically and socially. I also recognize the pleasure and joy to be had in reading, writing, speaking and listening. I ensure that my lessons incorporate an appreciation of the English language as an Art form in order for students to cherish the language, enjoy their lessons and develop the desire to continuously improve their skills. I am passionate about learning and teaching and I pride myself in creating the best learning experiences for my students so that they develop their own passion for learning languages. I look forward to meeting you and your children to share my expertise, love and enjoyment of language learning with you. Learning is a life-long journey, and I am looking forward developing and continue these journeys together.
